Privacy Policy
MoonChart — AI Chart Detector · Last updated 14 September 2026
This policy explains what MoonChart collects, why, and who it is shared with. MoonChart contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs and no third-party trackers, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Who is responsible

What we collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing history or advertising identifiers, and we do not build advertising profiles.
AI processing
When you request an analysis, the relevant market data — and, if you analyse a screenshot, that image — is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the result. Anthropic processes this data as our service provider to return the analysis and does not use it to train its models. Do not upload images containing personal information you do not want processed this way.
Who else receives data
- Apple — sign-in and all subscription payments and billing.
- Anthropic — chart analysis, as described above.
- Market data providers (CoinGecko, Binance, Twelve Data, Yahoo Finance) — these receive only the asset symbols being displayed. They receive no account data and no personal information.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Where data is stored
Account data is stored on our server in Germany, operated by Hetzner Online GmbH. Your analysis history is also kept on your device.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account deletes it.
Deleting your account
Open Settings → Delete account in the app. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data — watchlist, alerts, briefing preferences, analyses and stories — from our server, and removes the analyses stored on your device. It cannot be undone. You can also email support@moonchart.app to request deletion.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and comparable laws you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy in portable form, and you may object to processing. Write to support@moonchart.app and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
MoonChart is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date above, and note it in the app.
